Featured on Wedding Chicks-Ka'a'awa Proposal

I love surprises so when I had the chance to help Jordan plan a romantic proposal to Chelsey I jumped right in! Ka'a'awa Valley at Kualoa Ranch, amid a green valley surrounded my lush mountains, was the perfect location for Jordan's proposal. Jordan and Chelsey's engagement was featured on Wedding Chicks and you can read all about their love story and the very special day that Chelsey thought was a going to birthday scavenger hunt. Surprise!

Thanks to the talent of Shilhi of Passion Roots for creating a beautiful floral tablescape for Chelsey and Jordan and to Ashley of Taryn Reid Photography for capturing a very special afternoon.

Vintage Window

On a recent trip to a salvage yard I came across a fabulous old window and I had to have it. It's a long story but in the process of claiming my new prized possession I broke my big toe resulting in weeks of not being able to fit my swollen toe into cute shoes. Thankfully I live in Hawaii and sandals are acceptable year round. I used the window as a fun prop for an engagement shoot below.
Anna Kim PhotographyI came across this creative way to use the same type of window for table assignments.

I think I might take a chance and head back to the salvage yard for more treasures but this time I'll wear work boots and a hard hat!

Vintage Engagement Shoot

Oh how much fun I had styling and propping this vintage inspired engagement photoshoot. The amazingly talented Corinne Gold of What A Day Photography captured the images beautifully. This shoot was especially fun because I had creative freedom to pick out all of the clothing, accessories and props. It doesn't hurt that Charissa and Austin are gorgeous! For more information about my styling and propping services please take a peek at my blog, Yellow Bird Styling.

A special thanks to Sunset Ranch for a stunning location and to production assistants Taryn Nakashima and Shae Otsuka.
